Afristar Women Visit Rescued Street Girls

Afristar women visited the Rescue Dada Centre in support of International Women’s Day celebrated annually on the 8th of March.
Rescue Dada Centre is an NGO that rescues girls from the streets, rehabilitates and reunites them with their families/guardians. Each year the NGO rescues up to 70 girls aged 5-16 years from the streets of Nairobi, most of whom are reintegrated with members of their immediate or extended family within twelve months. The center provides basic education, a secondary school sponsorship program, an empowerment program for mothers, life skills training, and counseling.
Afristar donated much-needed items such as sanitary towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Stationery, bathing Soaps, and moisturizers. During the visit, Afristar ladies held women empowerment discussions with the rescued girls.
